Poly board is a duplex or kraft board laminated with a polyethylene (PE) coating on one or both sides — creating a moisture barrier that protects the contents from liquid ingress, grease, and humidity.
Sowji Papers supplies poly board in grammages from 250 gsm to 450 gsm, with single-side and double-side PE coating options. The base board is manufactured to IS standards and the PE coating is food-contact safe, making it suitable for direct food packaging applications.
Poly board is widely used for frozen food cartons, ice cream packaging, liquid food containers, bakery boxes, and any application where the packaging is exposed to moisture, condensation, or direct food contact.
